Last night, we decided that the day was just too gorgeous to pass up, so we pulled our bikes out of their winter hibernation and went downtown for a ride :)
I always love going into Pittsburgh in the late afternoon - the sun is just starting to set and gives everything a gorgeous 'glow' (especially the yellow bridges!)
On our way into the city, we had to clear a path for 'Mother Goose' and her little flock (it reminded me of Robert McCroskey's book 'Make Way for Ducklings' :D)
They were adorable, but my dad was quick to remind us that they grow up quickly ;)
After we'd biked for about an hour, we headed over to Heinz Field and the new subway station. It's free to ride the subway from the stadium to Market Square, so we all wanted to test it (and get a chance to go under the river!)
And of course, we had to make a little detour ;D
(yes - I take pictures in window reflections...)
My awesome parents :)
We even managed an impromptu photoshoot!!
All in all, it was a fantastic evening - I can't say how good it feels to be back outside!! Spring has finally arrived :)
